At time of filming, Willie Radkay was living in a nursing home in Prescott, Kansas. During his career, he was known as the "Devll Incarnate" - a reputation cemented by his coincidental Alcatraz number: he was the 666th inmate to be admitted to the island.

Today, Dekker plays poker and deals coins in Vacaville, California. During his heyday, he was known as the would-be John Dilinger, after he successfully robbed the same bank as Dillinger.

Banner married and raised a family in Phoenix, Arizona. He wrote verse and poetry while imprisoned at Alcatraz, and decades later published a spoken word album of these writings entitled "A Journey Inside the Convict's Mind."

Armando Mendoza

After receiving a pardon from President Nixon, Mendoza earned a master's degree in social work from University of Washington, worked 30 years in his field, and retired to Mazatlan, Mexico.

Darwin Coon converted to Christianity, married and became a foster parent to over one hundred children. He published an autobiography of his time in prison and often visits Alcatraz to sign his book.
